What’s the inspiration for Wild Child? (An appreciation post for Mother Nature)

From the Founder of Wild Child: Museum & Menagerie

Rosie Lynch

is a mother of two toddlers and full-time working nonprofit professional, as well as a writer, activist, and teacher. She’s a lifelong lover of nature, animals, babies, baby animals, learning, and you named it – museums! She is channeling her eclectic interests and passion to improve life for local families with young children into the creation of Wild Child: Museum & Menagerie.

Mother Nature at her Best

The closer we live to nature, the more we come to know ourselves.

Have you ever noticed that our BEST memories and when we feel our BEST and have the most FUN are usually when we are outside in nature? It’s because we ARE nature embodied, and our bodies are so relaxed that we just get to be ourselves for a bit!

I believe that we’re meant to spend a lot of our lives outdoors relaxing with one another and appreciating the world around us. It’s my hope that opening Wild Child will allow more families in our community to enjoy this birthright of ours.

Just living is not enough . . . one must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower.

-Hans Christian Andersen

My husband and I are trying to raise our children with a healthy dose of the outdoors, to respect nature, and enjoy plenty of unstructured time to learn and grow, naturally, with friends. I invite you to join us by visiting the Museum, signing up for one of our upcoming classes, or becoming a member to make the most of Wild Child’s offerings.

What we love most about nature:

We will be able to do many of these fun activities together through Wild Child’s Summer Camps and special programming. Take a look at the schedule and plan your next visit today!
