Hello 2025! Here’s a few thing’s we’re looking forward to this year:
- Welcoming 2 new Board members at our next meeting on January 19th (meet them below!)
- Receiving our first grant (look out for more opportunities to support in 2025!)
- Hosting more events to generate excitement for our museum (& menagerie, of course!)
- Finding our first location and making it perfect for Wild Child (we’re scouting out places in Mount Jackson right now!)
- Getting ready for opening day (when we can invite your families to play!)

Heather Biddle

Heather Biddle is a committed homeschooling and stay-at-home mom of two: a five year old son and older teenage daughter. She is a book-lover and animal lover who lives in the woods with her husband, children, three dogs, five cats, and a wild family of possums who visit most nights. Heather brings her educational background in Leadership and Organizational Management to the Board, as well as her passion for raising our children with healthy food and stimulating learning environments catered to their needs.
Heather’s favorite animal is the lion.
Heather Smith is an animal-lover, artisan, and stay-at-home mother of three girls – a 4-year-old and an 11-year-old, as well as a stepdaughter who landed her in her early Grandma-era with two beautiful grandbabies. She cherishes family time, while instilling good values into her children and nurturing their sense of adventure. As if that’s not enough, she loves and cares for her pit bull, ball python, Amazon parrot, and hamster. Heather has 20+ years’ experience in the veterinary field, as well as pet sitting and wildlife rehabilitation, ranging from baby bunnies to raccoons, opossums, aquatic turtles, birds, fawns, and her favorite, squirrels.
